Cluny Convent PU College, Jalahalli is located admist the greenery, in a pollution free environment, affectionately called by its students as Cluny Jalahalli.

This sprawling extension is a perfect place for the students to gain knowledge and go forward with the motto 'PRAY and WORK'. We believe that the education imparted at Cluny Convent PU College prepares our students for a highly competitive world. We believe in women education because 'Educating a woman means educating the family and the nation.'

COURSES

The college is offering courses in Science, Commerce and Humanities stream with multiple subjects combination.

TEACHING

The teaching staff is a good mixture of experience, energy and with a plenty of talent.

About us

Principal's Message

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you all to Cluny Convent PU College Jalahalli. This college is run by the sisters of St. Joseph of Cluny, guided by the life and spirit of blessed Anne Marie Javouhey, our foundress.

Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all' This quote by the Greek philosopher Aristotle- emphasizes the fact that education must not be restricted to accumulation of knowledge at the intellectual level but must also lead to the formation of a complete human person.

Ann Mary Javouhey

Blessed Anne Marie Javouhey, our foundress was born in a remote village in Burgundy, France, on 10th November 1779. She grew up to be a lively youngster, by refusing a proposal, she cleared her intentions to consecrating herself to God.

During the revolution against the church in France, her courage, intelligence and initiatives saved lives of many outlawed priests.

She was the first white to set foot on African soil, travelling through dense forest to free thousands of slaves.

Academics

Courses and Combination

Pre-University course is a stage where a student begins to diversify into specialized courses. This course is conducted by the college in accordance with the norms and regulations of Karnataka state department of Pre-University Education. Science, Commerce, Humanities are the areas of studies offered by the college.

Each combination in a course consist of four subjects, syllabus includes practical apart from language. Students need to take special care while choosing their combinations in view of their intellectual ability and future opportunities.
